Remote Start Service Drive Campaign

Beginning October 1 through December 31, 2015 all enrolled Service Advisors will be eligible to receive earnPower points for the sale of every qualified* GM Accessories Remote Start package. In addition, enrolled Parts and Service Managers will receive points for each qualified sale.

This promotion is designed to reward accessory sales performance in the service drive.  Service Advisors who “ask for the sale” will earn points for each customer-pay GM Accessories remote start package sold. Promotion excludes LPO installation, dealership internal sales, Business Choice, and We-Owe sales.

Qualifications

  • All GM Dealers within the VIP ADI APR with accounts in good standing are eligible to enroll. 
  • All registered Service Advisors, Service Managers, and Parts Managers must have a valid GMIN# to receive earnPower points.
  •  There is no cost to enroll, however, because successful sales in the service drive is dependent on quick turnaround, a minimum stock order of 10 remote start packages is required.  Parts Managers should monitor inventory to assure that a proper stocking level is maintained throughout the promotional period.
  • All claims received are subject to verification by the ADI.

Contact your Dealership's ADI Territory Sales Manager, or click here to enroll. Your TSM will record the GMIN #s of all participants, provide signs and promotional material, make recommendations and accept your parts opening order, and provide any necessary product sales training. Once complete, your dealership is enrolled and ready to begin.
Service Advisors will submit claims for sold packages using our simple form. Entries will be tabulated weekly and Service Advisors, Service Managers, and Parts Managers will receive earnPower points within 10 days. Proper I-op codes must be entered in GM Global Warranty System for each installation before points can be awarded. Your TSM can assist you with this process if necessary.
Fall and early winter is the perfect time to sell remote start packages. Many of your service customers will begin actively shopping for remote start options soon. When your customers learn they can have a GM Accessories Remote Start Package, that is fully covered by their new vehicle warranty, installed by you during their next service visit, many will buy. It's up to you to get the word out.
All GM Accessories remote start packages qualify. Refer to your Dealership's Chrome Digital Solutions Accessory website for proper application. Each Service Advisor will also receive a quick-reference sheet listing the most popular part numbers when the dealership enrolls.
Simply enroll and allow Dealership Service Advisors to sell packages and earn points. In turn, the dealership should see a significant increase in parts and service gross profit.  Take it a step further and include remote start installation as a service provided when your Service BDC is making outbound calls to boost service traffic.  Or for the best results, the dealership may choose to run its own sales promotion including coupons, promotional pricing, etc. incorporating BDC involvement, print advertising, internet specials, and signs to significantly enhance service traffic during the promotional period. 
  • Installation does not require vehicle modification.  Will not void vehicle warranty.
  • Covered by 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty or balance of the vehicle bumper-to-bumper warranty, whichever is longer.
  • Customer does not have to carry additional key fobs.
  • Dealership earns GM Accessory credit.
  • Will not disengage OnStar or other GM Installed Vehicle options.
Yes, but only if you want to make additional revenue. Keep in mind, the best way to assure a sale in the service drive is to have the Accessory in stock at the time of the service appointment. For best results, you may want to limit products offered to the fast-moving Accessories stocked by your parts department. Parts and service departments should work together to assure that these items are always readily available.
