Subject: UPDATE - Equinox/Terrain Accessory Remote Start (p/n 20981996) Hood Latch/Switch

Engineering has determine the current accessory remote start kit (p/n 20981996) IS compatible with 2010-2011 model year Equinox/Terrain vehicles. Model year 2012 vehicles require a different hood latch/switch and therefore, kit p/n 20981996 is not compatible with 2012 vehicles.

Engineering is working to release a new kit for 2012 model year vehicles. In the meantime, we are working on developing a field fix until the kit becomes available. As soon as a field fix is approved, it will be communicated to the ADI's and dealers.

Until that time, accessory remote start kit (p/n 20981996) should not be sold/installed on 2012 Equinox/Terrain vehicle.

This is to inform you that No LPO Orders or Business Choice Orders wrote to D2D due to a systems issue today, January 11, 2012. Normal order processing will resume tomorrow January 12, 2012.

Sierra / Silverado Diesel 6" Oval Assist Step Labor Time

Beginning January 1, 2012 - new assist step kits were made available for 2012 Silverado/Sierra Diesel Trucks. This change was a result of redesigned brackets on the passenger side step, around the DEF tank.

The following part numbers are involved:

Due to inventory management issues, the ADI’s may deliver the “old” part number to dealers to fulfill LPO orders. The Labor Times for each design part is:

Crew / Extended Cab	1.1 hrs	0.7 hrs
Regular Cab	1.0 hrs	0.6hrs

As a result of the inventory management issues, the Accessory Marketing Team has agreed to pay the different in labor time for 2012 Silverado/Sierra Diesel Assist Step LPO times.

If installing the “old” part number to fulfill a 2012 Silverado/Sierra Diesel Assist Step LPO order, please submit an additional labor operation (Z-xxxx) for 0.4 hours.

Dealers will still need to submit for Z6998 for the base time.
